The highly anticipated Indiana Jones and the Great Circle from Bethesda and MachineGames showcased new footage today, offering fans a fresh glimpse into the game’s development. While the game is still slated for release later this year, a specific release date has yet to be announced.
Announced back in 2021, MachineGames’ take on the iconic Indiana Jones series has generated significant excitement. The latest preview included gameplay and a cinematic featuring a classic encounter with a campy Nazi villain, a staple of the Indiana Jones franchise. Set in a snowy environment, the game continues to impress with its stunning visuals, appearing even more polished than in previous showcases.
However, it remains uncertain whether Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be available on PS5. While there have been reports suggesting Xbox’s willingness to bring the title to PS5, Microsoft is still deliberating on its cross-platform strategy. It’s possible that the game may arrive on PS5 after its initial Xbox release, similar to Sony’s approach of launching first-party titles on PC some time after their PS5 debut.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle marks MachineGames’ first major release since 2019’s Wolfenstein: Youngblood, as the studio has primarily focused on a VR Wolfenstein title and remasters of Quake in the interim.
