The federal government should abandon any plans to detain and deport kids underneath controversial new migration legal guidelines, MPs have warned.

The Girls and Equalities Committee (WEC) mentioned any potential hurt to children caught up within the asylum system should outweigh potential injury to the federal government’s coverage agenda.
