A mayor in Mexico has married a feminine alligator-like animal in a standard ceremony which is believed to carry success to his individuals.
Victor Hugo Sosa wed the caiman reptile referred to as Alicia Adriana as he re-enacted an ancestral ritual.
Native lore, or custom, calls the creature the « princess lady » and the mayor stated the pair « liked one another ».
Onlookers clapped and danced in San Pedro Huamelula, a city of indigenous Chontal individuals in Oaxaca state, southern Mexico, as they entered into holy matrimony.
Mr Sosa stated in the course of the ritual: « I settle for duty as a result of we love one another. That’s what is essential.
« You may’t have a wedding with out love… I yield to marriage with the princess lady. »

Marriage between a person and a feminine caiman has taken place there for 230 years to commemorate the peace between the Chontal and Huave indigenous teams.
